Roundwalk through the village Konzen - 14

If you pass Konzen on the road B258, you won't think, that this village is the oldest one in the Monschau area. Since the end of the eigths century, about 400 years before the construction of the Monschau castle and nearly 550 yerars before Monschau was mentioned as "stat" (citiy) in an official dokument, "Compendium"(the former name of Konzen in a document from 888) developed from a roman settlement to the settling centre of the Monschau district.
