The Old Town situated in the Monschau Rur Valley is a treasure trove full with historic buildings, rustic streets and lanes, romantic nooks and impressive vantage points. Counting all of the historic architectural monument shields is not such an easily resolved and admittedly quite cunning activity for a scavenger hunt. Numerous brass plates provide an overview of the history of the most significant buildings.
